Description

Hillmont Residence (2018-2021)

A 4,200 square foot home for a young couple with baby in Austin, Texas. The project is minutes from downtown and Zilker Park.

Our clients came to us wanting a clean, minimal, yet warm modern home to raise their family. This L-shape home provides privacy from the street while opening up to the back yard. Double height spaces let in warm, tree filtered southern light and shadows onto the limestone walls. The material palette is clean, cut limestone, teak, steal and aluminum windows/doors.

The interiors are warm and clean with graphic marbles walnut cabinetry. Rift sawn white oak floors throughout.

Built in the heart of the pandemic in 2020, this project faced a lot of uncertainty and obstacles throughout. This project has a great story of collaboration and ultimately a forever friendship between architect and clients. There are great products and finishes to highlight.
