Description

The Drums Story
From humble beginnings 22 years ago, Drums have grown to be one of Melbourne’s most recognised chains serving exotic Sri Lankan and Indian food.
Over the years the concept has grown from strength to strength, extending their arms to outer suburbs of Melbourne by actively taking part in many street festivals that promote Sri Lankan culture, the heart of the food. Their concept site remains at the Queen Victoria Market, and is also regularly featured at Federation Square, Nightjar, Preston Market, Dandenong Market, Werribee Market and other regular events in Melbourne. With the latest branch opening early in 2019 at Brimbank central.

Drums street food is highly popular amongst Melbournes community, boasting colourful fresh flavours. Drums brings a strong theme "Kotthu Roti", the concept is based around the theatre of cooking. The customers experience the food ‘street style’, with the noise, smell and the visual.

‘We are proud of the fact that we have been able to introduce some authentic dishes from Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia with specific flavours. Amongst our dishes, Butter Chicken, Devilled Chicken & Goat Curry . While we promise all our food varieties are gluten free (excluding bread varieties), we generally serve Aromatic Basmati Rice which even diabetics can enjoy with no effect on their blood sugar levels. We do have various vegan and vegetarian options aswell. ‘Vijay SIvaraj’
