Description

Louise and Nick's House was a typical long and narrow terrace house in the innerwest, it had great orientation with North at the rear of the site, which flooded the courtyard with direct sunlight. Nick and Louise had a lovely and simple design ethos, they liked clean lines, a touch of scandi, colour, sunlight and a connection to the outdoors.
We removed the rear part of the terrace house and re-built a new ground floor living, dining and kitchen pod and new first floor with ensuite and main bedroom. There are two existing bedrooms downstairs and a generous and beautiful main bathroom.
One of louise's original requests was a beautiful bathroom.

Questions and Answers

What was the brief?

The brief was to remove the bathroom from the rear of the house and open up the rear of the house to the sun filled courtyard. Nick and Louise also wanted a beautiful oasis bathroom from the start of the process, with a free-standing bath and green wall.
