Description

Located in Overland Park, Kansas, the Enterprise Bank and Trust offices represent a thoughtful renovation of a 13,000 sf space within an existing office building. This move brings the bank closer to Kansas City’s urban core, providing a space not only for daily operations but also for hosting large board meetings and community events. The design reflects Enterprise Bank’s commitment to enhancing community, both internally among employees and externally with clients and the Kansas City community.

Inspired by the archetypal classic bank building, the design incorporates a modern interpretation of fluted columns, evoking a sense of security and familiarity. Simultaneously, the space embraces the fun and flexibility of the mid-century drive-through bank, drawing on the playful curves of pneumatic tubes. This visual language—refined fluting and soft curves—ties directly into the bank’s branding, where angled lines in their logo are punctuated with similar rounded terminations.

Visitors and employees enter through an intimate lobby, greeted by a custom reception desk detailed with curved white oak panels that echo the fluting of traditional bank columns. From there, an angled hallway leads to an expansive kitchen and lounge, designed for casual lunches, meetings, and social gatherings. This lounge seamlessly connects to a large conference room, which can open up to create one unified space for hosting larger community events.

Throughout the office, rich white oak details, curved leather booths, and navy blue accents reflect the bank’s brand colors. Curved shelves display client-related items, while art rails showcase rotating exhibitions of local artwork, reinforcing the bank’s deep ties to the community.
