Located at the foot of the famous Lyon Street Steps this stunning property epitomizes the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. With its stunning architecture, beautifully appointed interiors, and picturesque surroundings, our Pacific Heights Pied-à-terre is a true gem in the City by the Bay. From its intricate moldings to its lavish finishes, every aspect of this residence has been carefully curated to create a truly exceptional living experience.
During a multi year renovation that involved several design and architecture revisions, this project became a labor of love for everyone involved. A labor that can be felt in the attention to detail that the home exudes.

Questions and Answers
What is the historical significance of the 100-year-old Spanish Revival architecture in the Pacific Heights Pied-à-terre? How does this history influence the design choices made during the makeover?
We wanted to update the interiors while keeping the design warm and respectful to the age of the house. We didn't want everything to be modern, glass and steel.
Can you elaborate on the classical makeover approach taken for this project? What were the key elements and inspirations behind the design?
We looked to European design for a lot of our inspiration and then gave it a California spin by keeping things light and airy.
What were some of the major challenges faced during the renovation of this century-old home? How did the project team overcome these obstacles?
Flow was a major obstacle as most homes in this neighborhood are built vertically so integrating living spaces and bedrooms into having optimal flow was very important to get right. We worked hand in hand with our clients and our architects to ensure we designed spaces that were functional and beautiful.
How does the Pacific Heights Pied-à-terre contribute to the local community in San Francisco? Are there any specific features or aspects of the home that engage with the neighborhood?
Although the home is private and on a cul de sac, it's actually on a very busy/ touristy area of the Pacifica Heights area. We just ensured we kept the beauty of the exterior intact and as historically accurate to the neighboring homes that were built at the same time.
Molly Haas is credited as the photographer for this project. How did her photography capture the essence of the makeover? What role does visual presentation play in showcasing the transformation of the home?
I loved working with Molly to capture the warmth and stateliness of the home. The way the light fills the space was really captured in these photos. There is an inherent elegance to her photography that I think translated beautifully to the project itself.
