Prospect Park Penthouse

Full renovation of a 4,500 square foot Park Slope duplex penthouse apartment with views of Prospect Park, surrounding Brooklyn and Manhattan. Ten to One is a published and award-winning Brooklyn New York based architectural and community design studio which has completed 100 projects in 10 years and as +Nonprofit synergistically dedicates 10% to pro bono for design equity and sustainability. Ten to One creates projects which celebrate lives and collectively build more equitable and sustainable communities. We work across a wide spectrum of project types, scales and budgets from community development to civic institutions to residences large medium small to furniture, from landscape to interior to fabrication, facilitated through a scalable and holistic process. Our process is a collaborative venture with clients and constituencies through a holistic, open source and scalable integrated project delivery method. Our design process spans through long term strategic planning, client, constituent and community engagement, collaborative development of mapping, construction systems, methodologies and management, fixture and finish procurement and fabrication. We undertake projects with a dual lens of zooming out to include socio-spatial and environmental context and justice and zooming in to listen, collaborate closely with and advocate for clients. Our scope of work is customized and scaled for each project small to large and often expands beyond typical design services. We collaborate with a wide project team throughout the process and work to have MEPS building systems and construction technologies be integral to a collective design. Our design process is a balance between contextual perspective expanding outward and design strategy focusing empathically inward.
