Description
The new HQ of a growing games e-commerce startup.

Every entrepreneur dreams with the growth of his company, and generally this growth is accompanied by a series of changes in the company. New needs, new people, new organizational structures and, above all, the reach of maturity of the brand's values and personality.
Moving to a new headquarters at this stage becomes a great opportunity to materialize the new phase of the business through architecture. ShopB, a games e-commerce founded in 2009 contacted us exactly at that moment.
The new office would be installed in a new commercial room measuring approximately 150m2, in an extremely pleasant building, with three glazed facades that flood the room with natural light and provide excellent cross ventilation. Therefore, the design positions the working areas on the perimeter of the room and concentrates the circulation and support areas in the center - naturally positioned around the existing bathroom core.
The highlight of the project is definitely the stainless steel panels that envelopes the bathroom core. This material not only enhances the industrial mood desired by the clients, but also creates some interesting reflexes when you move around the space.
Altogether, there are 20 fixed workstations, in addition to an amorphous table that serves both as support for remote employees who occasionally spend a few days at the HQ, as well as for special dynamics of the company's internal teams.
In addition, the office also offers a meeting room for six people - which also hosts the team's Mario Kart competitions - two call-rooms, and the director's room already equipped for recording videos/podcasts.

Todo empreendedor sonha com o crescimento de sua empresa, e geralmente esse crescimento vem acompanhado por uma série de mudanças na empresa. Novas necessidades, novas pessoas, novas estruturas organizacionais e, acima de tudo, uma maturidade dos valores e da personalidade da marca.
A mudança para uma nova sede durante esse momento se torna então, uma grande oportunidade de materializar a nova fase do negócio através da arquitetura. A ShopB, um e-commerce de games fundado em 2009 nos procurou exatamente nesse momento.
O novo escritório seria instalado em uma nova sala comercial de aproximadamente 150m2, um imóvel extremamente agradável, com três fachadas envidraçadas que inundam a sala de luz natural e propiciam uma excelente ventilação cruzada. Sendo assim, optamos por posicionar as áreas de permanência no perímetro da sala, concentrando no centro as áreas de circulação e apoio, naturalmente posicionados ao redor do núcleo de banheiros existente.
O destaque do projeto fica por conta dos painéis de aço inoxidável que envelopam o volume de apoio dos banheiros e copa. Esse material, além de fortalecer o aspecto industrial desejado pelos clientes, também cria interessantes reflexos conforme o usuário se move pelo espaço.
Ao todo são 20 estações de trabalho fixas, além de uma mesa amorfa que serve tanto de apoio para funcionários remotos que eventualmente passam alguns dias na sede, quanto para dinâmicas especiais dos times internos da empresa.
Além disso, a sede conta ainda com uma sala de reuniões para seis pessoas - que abriga também as rodadas de Mario Kart da equipe - duas call-rooms para maior privacidade dos funcionários durante chamadas, e a sala do diretor já equipada para a gravação de vídeos/podcasts, e também para o recebimento de clientes e parceiros.

What was the brief?
The brief was quite simple: an open plan office with 20 workstations, one meeting room and a closed office for the director who also records videos and podcasts for their community.
What were the key challenges?
The main challenge in this project it's probably one of the highlights. The clients intended to preserve the industrial mood of the room, keeping all ceiling installations on sight - meaning that the light design would have to avoid all those obstacles.
What were the solutions?
The layout solution positions the working areas on the perimeter of the room and concentrates the circulation and support areas in the center - naturally positioned around the existing bathroom core.
In regards to the light design, the solution proposed was to create a secondary structure with light steel rails, that positions the linear LED structure in a level below the obstacles, and create a light ribbon that goes all around the office.
What's the highlight of the project?
The highlight of the project is definitely the stainless steel panels that envelopes the bathroom core in the center of the plan. This material not only enhances the industrial mood desired by the clientes, but also creates some interesting reflexes when you move around the space.
