Recycling cooking oil is an action of utmost importance to preserve natural resources in the future, given its considerable polluting capacity. Therefore, it is essential to avoid the disposal of used oil in toilets, drains, sinks, or together with organic waste. The company Ambiental Santos plays a crucial role in collecting this oil, transforming it into various products. Furthermore, it is the only company in Brazil specialized in vegetable oil collection that has a complete effluent treatment station. In pursuit of future expansion and aiming to enhance the organization of its industrial park, Ambiental approached us for the development of a new building intended for the administrative sector.

Initially, the idea was to position the new building in the central area of the terrain. However, upon visiting the site, we noticed that a portion of the land had a higher and flatter topography, offering an exceptional panoramic view of the complex. Thus, the building's placement was planned with the goal of maximizing views and the use of natural light. Despite being elevated, this area of the terrain is quite humid, so the building was raised 60 cm above ground level. Access is provided through two wooden-clad ramps: one leading to the reception and another directly to the pantry. The reception entrance is highlighted in the building's architecture by an empty space serving as an antechamber, clad with the same wood as the ramps.

The building's spaces are arranged around a central core housing sanitary facilities and the server room. Adjacent to this core are the reception, pantry, and corridors, which, in turn, connect to the rest of the spaces, such as the director's office, meeting room, and workspaces. Most of these areas are situated in the southern part of the building, favoring a more diffused natural light, ideal for the work routine. The director's office is marked on the facade by a large wooden-clad opening with a view of the factory. Similarly, the meeting room features a similar opening directed towards the back of the plateau. Tall windows facing south also allow diffused light to penetrate the reception, pantry, and corridor

The construction system consists of a raft foundation to support a steel frame structure with an external cladding of white metal tiles. This construction method offers significant advantages in terms of execution speed, which proved especially beneficial for the factory, as it caused less disruption to its production routine. Regarding the interior finishes of the building, they were chosen with a focus on ease of cleaning and maintenance. A white vinyl flooring in the form of a continuous sheet extends to the base of the walls, creating a seamless base, eliminating corners, and simplifying the cleaning task. Additionally, the yellow color of the Ambiental Santos brand was applied to the ceiling of the reception and pantry, extending to the walls of the central core. The rooms are all white with light wood furniture, creating a sense of lightness and a focus on providing clarity to the workspace.

In summary, the project of Ambiental Santos' new administrative headquarters aims to meet the demands of sustainability and operational efficiency. The strategy of leveraging the terrain's topography and the careful selection of materials and construction systems aims to create a building that not only serves the company's administrative needs but also promotes its growth and optimizes the operation of its industrial complex.

Reciclar o óleo de cozinha é uma ação de extrema importância para preservar os recursos naturais no futuro, dada a sua considerável capacidade poluente. Portanto, é fundamental evitar o descarte de óleo usado em vasos sanitários, ralos, pias ou juntamente com o lixo orgânico. A empresa Ambiental Santos desempenha um papel crucial na coleta desse óleo, transformando-o em diversos produtos. Além disso, é a única empresa no Brasil especializada na coleta de óleo vegetal que possui uma estação de tratamento de efluentes completa. Em busca de uma expansão futura e visando aprimorar a organização de seu parque industrial, a Ambiental nos procurou para o desenvolvimento de um novo edifício destinado ao setor administrativo.

Inicialmente, a ideia era situar o novo edifício na área central do terreno. Contudo, ao visitarmos o local, notamos que uma parte do terreno apresentava uma topografia mais elevada e plana, oferecendo uma vista panorâmica excepcional do complexo. Assim, a implantação do edifício foi planejada com o objetivo de maximizar as vistas e a utilização da luz natural. Apesar de elevada, esta área do terreno é bastante úmida, desse modo o edifício foi elevado em 60 cm em relação ao solo. O acesso ocorre por meio de duas rampas revestidas de madeira: uma que leva à recepção e outra que conduz diretamente à copa. A entrada da recepção é destacada na arquitetura do edifício por um espaço vazio que serve como antecâmara, revestido com a mesma madeira das rampas.

Os ambientes do edifício estão dispostos ao redor de um núcleo central, que abriga as instalações sanitárias e a sala do servidor. Adjacente a esse núcleo, encontram-se a recepção, a copa e os corredores, que por sua vez conectam o restante dos espaços, como a sala do diretor, a sala de reuniões e as salas de trabalho. A maioria desses ambientes está situada na parte sul do edifício, favorecendo uma iluminação natural mais difusa, ideal para a rotina de trabalho. A posição da sala do diretor é marcada na fachada por uma grande abertura revestida de madeira, com vista para a fábrica. Da mesma forma, a sala de reuniões apresenta uma abertura similar, direcionada para os fundos do platô. Janelas altas voltadas para o sul também permitem que a luz difusa penetre na recepção, na copa e nos corredores.

O sistema construtivo consiste em uma laje radier para sustentar uma estrutura de steelframe, com revestimento externo de telhas metálicas brancas. Esse método de construção oferece vantagens significativas em termos de rapidez na execução, o que se mostrou especialmente benéfico para a fábrica, já que causaria menos interferência na sua rotina de produção. Quanto aos revestimentos do interior do edifício, foram escolhidos com foco na facilidade de limpeza e manutenção. Optou-se por utilizar um piso vinílico off-white em formato de manta que se estende até a base das paredes, criando um rodapé contínuo, eliminando cantos e, assim, simplificando a tarefa de limpeza. Além disso, a cor amarela da marca Ambiental Santos foi aplicada no forro da recepção e da copa, estendendo-se também às paredes do núcleo central. A salas são todas brancas com mobiliário de madeira clara, gerando leveza e focando em ofertar claridade para o espaço de trabalho.

Resumidamente, o projeto da nova sede administrativa da Ambiental Santos visa atender às demandas de sustentabilidade e eficiência operacional. A estratégia de aproveitar a topografia do terreno e a seleção cuidadosa de materiais e sistemas construtivos tem como finalidade criar um edifício que não só atenda às necessidades administrativas da empresa, mas também promova seu crescimento e otimize o funcionamento de seu complexo industrial.
