West 7th Passive House

Built just one block away from downtown in the Castle Hill Local Historic District, this project is a study of urban density that enhances neighborhood character, creating a series of overlapping private spaces and homes for three families to live on a small urban lot. A deep and careful renovation of the historic cottage at the front is paired with a 5000 sf new duplex built into the side of the steep site. The duplex will be the largest certified passive house project in the southern US when complete.
