RG
In a scheme comprised of four 240 m2 vertical homes distributed on three levels, the RG project is a clear example of optimization and distribution of spaces.
RG has a semi-basement, with the parking lot and utility room. The living room, dining room and kitchen are located on the ground floor. Starting on the second level, the bedrooms are distributed with their respective bathrooms, as well as balconies with exterior views. Finally, on the roof there is a large terrace that offers a space for contemplation and calm in the middle of one of the busiest neighborhoods in the city.
The side façade was developed as a large concrete canvas where the shadows of a jacaranda tree are projected and allow light to pass through a square-proportioned window, which in addition to illuminating the circulation core, gives it character. The circulation corridors of the second and third levels of all the houses are made of glass to illuminate the stairs and thus expand the interior views.
The selection of the material of the houses arises from the structural project. To solve the architectural question, the concrete walls were needed in their entirety, leaving exposed concrete and in some walls a plank design. Wood is the material that serves as a contrast to the concrete and gives the necessary warmth to the project, which was used in the floors and carpentry elements. The stairs and balconies are made of black metal.
RG is a discreet, efficient project that seeks to highlight the natural elements that surround it, managing to blend in and create a space of comfort for those who inhabit it.
