Description

Congress Avenue is the geographical and spiritual heart of Austin. The stretch of Congress Avenue south of the river is the birthplace of “Keep Austin Weird” and has become a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly district filled with small shops, bars, and venues that capture the unique spirit of Austin.

South Congress Hotel is a boutique, 83 key property with 3 levels of underground parking, street level retail and restaurant spaces, a lively hotel bar/cafe, and a rooftop amenity deck. The rooftop deck features a pool, shaded cabanas, and a bar. The deck, and the other restaurant and retail spaces, encourage flow between residents, guests and pedestrians into, out of, and through the hotel, literally forming a connection between the city and the property. This project was designed in conjunction with Michael Hsu Office of Architecture.
