1. Our beautiful client whose love of decoration and design was the driving force behind the project. A fashionista extraordinaire, her stylish aesthetic was the socket we plugged into to the power up this space. A winning testimonial: “My kitchen has become the heart of my home, inviting me to sit, relax, and entertain. The play of light and the reflection of water and boats in the splashback add a serene touch, while the elegant curves and vibrant colours create a space that’s as welcoming as it is beautiful”. 5348 px 8019 px 19 MB A3 print |

2. This previously small very old early 80s kitchen had a separate pantry and lots of blocked off wall space. By taking the pantry out, we opened up the view to the kitchen and added a breakfast nook that was influenced heavily by our client’s love of Christian Lacroix and decoration. We were so excited to get a brief so joyful and devoted to detail! 5413 px 8115 px 17 MB A3 print |

3. Increasing the size of the opening between the kitchen and dining, as well as increasing the space of the kitchen by subsuming a separate pantry into the room makes wonderful colourful views. Nautically inspired by deco design, the kitchen leans into blue as a striking standout in an already colour-infused design. 5406 px 8105 px 16 MB A3 print |

6. Nautically inspired by deco design, the kitchen leans into blue as a striking standout in an already colour infused design. We loved designing this curved kitchen that has roots in P&O deco design detailing but is clearly a contemporary kitchen with thin stainless benchtops and induction cooktop. 5415 px 8118 px 16 MB A3 print |

8. The design was inspired by the heritage nature of the old apartment building and its wonderful views that it provides over the harbour. 5424 px 8131 px 13 MB A3 print |

Harbourside Deco
https://vimeo.com/1022732503?share=copyThe Harbourside Deco apartment, built in 1918, required a complete kitchen renovation to align with our client's desired aesthetic. She approached us with a clear vision, encouraging bold use of colour, pattern and texture, to create a uniquely personalised enclave. Embracing this exciting direction, we embarked on transforming the space.
We began by demolishing the internal dividing wall between the kitchen and pantry to create an open-plan layout. The original archway leading to the formal dining room was widened and heightened, enhancing the sense of space and adding grandeur. The pantry was integrated into custom-designed Art Deco-inspired joinery, featuring soft curves that harmonise with the apartment's existing archways. A striking black and white geometric floor tile was installed throughout the kitchen and informal dining area. All new joinery and appliances were seamlessly incorporated into the design, with large appliances concealed within the custom cabinetry to maintain a clean, minimalistic look, allowing the vibrant colours and patterns of the space to take centre stage.
We also added a kitchen bench seat upholstered in a Christian Lacroix print, complemented by an eclectic mix of printed cushions. Positioned strategically in front of the window to maximise natural light, this area offers a cosy, informal dining experience and has fast become a favourite spot in the apartment.
