Description

This is a Listed Building in a prominent situation on Regents Canal, provisionally extended at roof level but in a crude form. Our objective was to provide a modern, yet sympathetic new top to the building. The client was also keen to integrate solar panels into the design.
The views out to the South are great over the canal, thus this face is entirely glass. It is divided into three doors in the proportions of the original house. This is a triple slider so that two thirds can be entirely opened to the master suite- leaving the permanent section over the stairs.
The client, an entrepreneur in the clothes industry, wanted lots of clothes hanging. Hence a wardrobe that uses the entire depth of the house.
A continuous planter planted with Lavender forms part of the balustrade allowing you to lie in bed and look out at the City through the upright Lavender stalks.
