What was the initial vision for the Lane Cove Tree House, and how did it evolve throughout the project?

The existing house was a redbrick bungalow with art deco features. In relatively poor condition with a dated 1980 lightweight addition at the rear.

To improve the relationship between the living and kitchen area to the rear yard and the beautiful tree scape vista.

The existing brickwork and art deco features of the house were good enough to keep and highlight -we wanted to create the same warmth and detail with the new addition in a contemporary manner
