The design for the new store of ÔDA Design - located in the Juvevê neighborhood in Curitiba/PR - marks yet another chapter in the long standing partnership between the office and the store. At this new address, a typical neighborhood house, the brand gains more space to develop its own identity, expanding their options to showcase design pieces and processes.

The reform was simple, with little interventions. As the building has load-bearing walls, we did not propose any changes in the organization of the space. Luckily, the main room was already unified by a previous renovation, exposed by the large metal beam in the middle of the space. Therefore, the main interventions were the revitalization of the cement floor in the showroom, and the reformulation of the layout and floor coverings in the annex at the back of the house, located on a lower level, to house administration, storage, shipping and the pantry for the staff.

Meanwhile, in the showroom we have the full exhibition of products, with a second entrance hall coming from the parking lot with the exhibition of smaller items. The basic materiality of the showroom, as well as that of the entire project, is based on white tones, seeking to bring more light into the indoor environment and creating a neutral base for the curated Brazilian design. The plaster niches on the sides of the main hall have become a signature of the brand in past stores, so they are also present here as well. These frames allow the creation of different compositions of parts and colors, without greater interference from the surrounding objects. As for the furniture, we reused the bases designed for the old store, and adhesived its surface with white vinyl, aiming at a better integration of these elements with the new space. The result is a supporting and neutral space, which values ​​the design, materials and colors of each piece.

On the external side, we built a new identity for the building through the design of the facade. The idea was not to mischaracterize the original architecture of the property, but to mark the presence of a new store in the region with a contemporary touch, in line with the brand's curatorship. Hence, we designed a new volumetric element that serves as a marquise, brise or just a white slatted metallic plane, which creates a new layer for the building - also painted white - that houses the store's sign and organizes its openings. We also chose to create a dark background in graffiti tones on the side walls, creating more depth and highlighting the building.

O projeto da nova sede da Ôda Design, localizada no bairro do Juvevê em Curitiba/PR , marca mais um capítulo da parceria já antiga do escritório com a loja. Neste novo endereço, uma típica casa de bairro, a marca ganha espaço, identidade própria e expande suas oportunidades de receber clientes e parceiros.

A reforma foi um processo simples de intervenções pontuais. Por se tratar de uma edificação com paredes estruturais, não propusemos alterações na organização do espaço, visto que o salão principal era unificado por uma reforma anterior, explicitada na grande viga metálica existente no meio do ambiente. Sendo assim, as alterações foram a revitalização do piso de cimento queimado do salão, reformulação de layout e revestimentos de piso no anexo ao fundo da casa localizado em um nível inferior, para abrigar administração, depósito de peças, expedição e a copa para a equipe da loja.

Enquanto isso, no salão principal concentramos a exposição de produtos, contando também com um hall de entrada vindo do estacionamento para a exposição de itens menores. A materialidade fundamental do showroom, assim como de todo o projeto, se baseia no branco. Buscamos trazer mais luz para o ambiente interno e criar uma base neutra para a curadoria de peças de design brasileiro. Os nichos em gesso nas laterais do salão principal se tornaram uma assinatura da marca em outros espaços, e foram executados aqui também. Essas molduras permitem a criação de diferentes composições de peças e cores, sem maior interferência das peças ao redor. Já no mobiliário, reaproveitamos as bases desenhadas para a antiga loja, e adesivamos sua superfície com vinil branco, buscando uma melhor integração desses elementos com o novo ambiente. O resultado é um espaço coadjuvante e neutro, que valoriza o design, o material e as cores de cada peça.

No lado externo, construímos uma nova identidade para a edificação através do desenho de vitrine e fachada. A idéia não era descaracterizar a arquitetura original do imóvel, apenas marcar a presença de um novo comércio na região com um toque de contemporaneidade, alinhado a curadoria da marca. Sendo assim, desenhamos um novo elemento volumétrico que serve como marquise, brise ou somente um plano metálico ripado branco, que cria uma nova camada a edificação - também pintada de branca - que abriga o letreiro da loja e organiza suas aberturas. Optamos ainda pela criação de um plano de fundo escuro em tons grafites nos muros laterais, criando mais profundidade e destacando a edificação.
