Our mission was to modify the base building fit-out so that our client's brief was met with the minimum of waste and change. This view connects the largest meeting room with the entry reception area, looking through to a second meeting room.

The reception desk was designed to be a sculptural object within the space. The slightly angled windows to the exterior of the building are a reference point for its blocky angled form.

Our aim was to capture those views through the reception and meeting spaces whilst providing acoustic and visual privacy when necessary.

A bar height reception was the desired brief which allowed the element to work as a more sculptural item in the space and feel like a concierge desk.

It was so important that the reception take care to allow that view to expand across its space, running from the harbour bridge all the way to the heads before the Pacific Ocean. Our aim with the reception was to continue the earthy textures and colours in our country’s natural landscape and seen in the company’s indigenous art collection and to allow a sense of breath and wonder at what is viewed beyond.

In the reception, we aimed to echo the earthy textures and tones of the Australian landscape—reflected in the company’s Indigenous art collection—while creating a space that invites pause, breath, and a sense of awe at the sweeping views beyond.

Views through to “the heads” where the land meets the Pacific Ocean continue from the main boardroom through to other meeting rooms.

It’s all about the view! Expansive views over Sydney Harbour was the key focus in the meeting rooms. This room is the largest boardroom that is wired for sound, acoustically disconnected from the adjacent spaces and significantly comfortable for long meetings should they occur.

Our aim with this project was to capture the essence of this country and let those views speak whilst providing the company with fully fitted acoustically sound meeting rooms that can hold a range of events in comfort for any length of meeting time.

Description

Our recently completed corporate office fit-out in Sydney focused on enhancing the existing base building with minimal disruption and waste. The brief called for a refined, high-functioning workspace that celebrated the extraordinary views across Sydney Harbour—from the bridge through to the heads and out to the Pacific Ocean—while ensuring acoustic and visual privacy across key spaces.

A sculptural, bar-height reception desk anchors the entry, designed to feel more like a concierge than a conventional reception. Its low, blocky form takes cues from the building’s angled windows, allowing the expansive harbour view to remain the hero. Natural textures and earthy tones throughout the reception reference the Australian landscape and complement the company’s Indigenous art collection, adding a warm and grounded sense of identity.

Carefully curated and highly considered, the design invites a sense of calm and quiet confidence. It balances bold, sculptural moments with a restraint that allows the ever-changing harbour vista to shine. With every element—from curved joinery to concealed acoustic treatments—there’s an emphasis on comfort, clarity and connection to place. It’s a space where form meets function and where the architecture quietly steps back to let the view take centre stage. This is a workplace that feels both elevated and effortless, designed for focus, collaboration and an enduring sense of wonder.
