Greenleaf Restaurant
Beverly Hills, CA
2500 SF
Located in the retail district of Beverly Hills on Wilshire Boulevard, this project involved the renovation of an old diner into a modern, “fast-casual” restaurant specializing in salads and fresh ingredients. Our involvement included assisting the owner with branding the new restaurant concept. Our research included looking to local lettuce farming operations for material inspiration to learn about conservation. Designing for utility and environmental consciousness, we chose to line the kitchen and preparation areas with metal surfaces while earth-toned concrete floors, wooden seating and wood paneled walls soften the customer pallet. The all-glass front wall and floor-to-ceiling lettuce graphics combine to deliver a punch of color, provide visible signage and give the customer and passersby a sense of walking through a magnificent lettuce patch.
