Description

This stunning double-fronted Victorian dwelling had been subject to additions and alterations in the years preceding our client’s purchase, however, they approached us to relook at some key internal areas that they felt would need to serve them better in the years ahead. Downsizing and approaching the next phases of their lives, the brief was to bring together their functional needs in a manner that was comfortable yet refined and sophisticated.

The result is an expressive and rich series of spaces that include a new kitchen, powder room, ensuite, walk-in-robe, laundry and gym. A mix of of highly tactile materials including stones and timber selections helps strike a balance between the feeling of quiet sanctuary and respite, to that of warmth and playfulness.

The project was a collaboration between FOA and Jane Williams.
