Description

The uncompromisingly new and modern architecture of fjmtstudio’s Harrington Collection, with its contemporary and beautifully crafted interiors by fjmtinteriors, was designed to sit respectfully within one of Sydney’s most sensitive heritage settings, The Rocks Village, at the edge of the iconic Sydney Harbour.

Carefully considered human centric proportions are reflected in the composition of the architecture of the Harrington Collection; from the depth of the framed windows looking out to the harbour, to the care illustrated in the detailing of the sliding shutters. This care is mirrored in the interiors where there is a sense that every detail has been carefully crafted and considered.
The common areas and residences have a series of bespoke moments, framing the daily life of its residents, from the repeated use of slivers of mirrored reflections in the lobbies, to the framed joinery elements inspired by the deep reveals and sills of heritage buildings in the Rocks in the apartments themselves.

The distinctive design language, with its intricate geometry of the splayed stone and timber joinery, produces an elegant and timeless series of interiors.

The character of The Rocks, seen in the warmth of the natural sandstone and heritage brick buildings, is also reflected in the selection of luminous white and golden marble, and blond timbers.
