Anne Hindley
Hindley & Co
Melbourne
Prior to launching Hindley & Co, I spent over 20 years working for acclaimed international and local architects. In New York I began my career (while living in an unheated loft in downtown Soho) with Smith-Miller & Hawkinson (on the design team for the award winning Corning Glass of Museum), SITE, and Gaetano Pesce. I was employed by Daryl Jackson and Bligh Voller Nield for Etihad Stadium, then returned overseas to work on projects such as the £9bn landmark Battersea Power Station redevelopment, an Austrian ski/spa resort, and a medium density apartment complex with French studio, MAX Architectes.
Back home, I approached architect Allan Powell, whom I much admired, and went on to work with him for six years as Senior Architect. I was Project Architect for award-winning projects Bundoora West Lecture Theatre, and the heritage-listed Anchorage, in Sorrento, as well as many other beautiful residential projects.
